YOU FUND ESCROW
When you approve a job estimate, payment is held securely by Stripe — the same escrow used by Airbnb and Lyft. The tech never has access until the job is complete.

WORK GETS DONE
The tech completes the repair with full 3C documentation — Concern, Cause, Correction. You review the work and the documentation before anything is released.

YOU RELEASE PAYMENT
Only you can release the funds. If there's a dispute, our team mediates and Stripe holds the payment until it's resolved. You are never left without recourse.
Dispute Resolution: If you and the tech disagree on whether work was completed correctly, Wrench Market mediates using the submitted 3C documentation, photos, and job record. Stripe holds funds until resolution. We are always reachable at admin@wrenchmarket.com.

How flat rates work: Each tech sets their own diagnosis fee ($45–$200). After diagnosis, they submit a flat repair quote. You see the full price before approving. No hourly billing, no surprise charges. If the quoted price feels off, you can decline and walk away — escrow releases back to you.

Important Note
We do not require California BAR certification because mobile techs working on privately-owned vehicles are not required to be BAR-licensed under California law. All work is documented to California repair standards.

Where is Wrench Market available?
Wrench Market is open for signups nationwide. We match techs and customers in your area as the network grows — sign up and we'll notify you when jobs are available near you.
How do I know the tech will actually show up?
Every tech is ID verified and ASE cert reviewed before they can take a job. Techs who no-show are removed from the platform. Your escrow is never charged if a tech cancels.
What if I'm unhappy with the work?
Don't release escrow. Contact us at admin@wrenchmarket.com and we'll mediate using the job documentation. You are never required to pay for work you didn't approve.
I'm a tech — what does 10% cover?
The platform fee covers payment processing, escrow, job management, dispute mediation, and customer acquisition — so you spend zero time finding customers or chasing payments.
